About the episode
This week on The Worst Movie Podcast, Ade and Aaron tackle Action Jackson (1988), Carl Weathers’ shot at becoming the next Schwarzenegger. Joel Silver produced it, half the cast of Predator seems to wander through, and Craig T. Nelson plays a Detroit car tycoon who does martial arts and kills off union leaders in the most public ways possible. Sharon Stone plays his wife, Vanity plays a nightclub singer who gets two full songs, and Bill Duke yells at Weathers for a third of the movie before he disappears. It scored 19% on Rotten Tomatoes. Ade’s verdict: one third bad, one third boring, one third so bad it’s good.
Tune in as we ask questions like:
- Do these ninjas have superpowers?
- Did he take a shower with his jeans on?
- Why was Craig T. Nelson's house so foggy inside?
- How villainous do you need to be for your bodyguards just not flinch when they see your dead wife on the bed?
- Where did he get fitted tuxes for himself and all his friends?
